So after a lot of time I managed to get it to finally boot, and then it worked fine for a few more weeks until I moved it again and then there was a blue screen and the same problem. I don't want to pay again to take it back to a shop because I think it was a waste of money. You are posting a reply to: HP Compaq nx problem. I again managed to get into windows, but noticed that the sound and video became very glitchy and the computer was much slower.

I was thinking that perhaps the connection between the HD and the motherboard is soud bit dodgy but the shop removed it, tested it on another system, had no problems and then replaced it. If you're asking for technical help, please be sure to include all your system info, including operating system, model number, and any other specifics related to the problem.
